Case Study: Gurukulla - e-Learning Portal for On-Line Language Courses

The client is a provider of courses in the Sinhala language to Sri Lankan children. They required an online e-Learning system to manage institute membership, course enrollments and course delivery through online classrooms. Courses could be instructor led, online modules and interactive content.

Baryons created an online e-Learning system through which our client could add new courses and upload contents for those. The site membership and course enrollment flow is also managed online. A Content Management System was deployed for creating the Gurukulla portal and an e-Learning system to create and deliver courses. A graphics intensive theme was uniformly implemented throughout the website to create visual appeal for children. The system was enabled to delivered course content in a language neutral manner. A provision to create and run evaluations as part of courses was also made.
